Guinevere: At The Dawn of Legend Review and $25 Amazon GC Giveaway

Historical fiction books used to be my favorites as a child. It was a way to get a glimpse into the past and learn more about different time periods. I had an opportunity to read Guinevere: At the Dawn of Legend by Cheryl Carpinello in exchange for a review. This is the second in her series. The first being Guinevere: On the Eve of Legend.

Guinevere Dawn of Legend Cover FINAL Apple & B&N

In Guinevere: At the Dawn of Legend, Princess Guinevere and her friend Cedwyn, who pledged his life to protect her, continue their adventures. After a visit to Merlin’s Goddess of the Stones, their lives are in danger and there is group trying to kidnap the Princess. She thwarts their attempt but the group kidnaps the children of the castle instead. This leads her and Cedwyn on a dangerous journey to save them.

This story is fun and fast paced which makes it perfect for kids. Carpinello truly has a love for the time period as it shows through her writing. It’s details are accurate and Princess Guinevere serves as a wonderful role model.

About Restore

Restore is a line of soil-derived supplements made in the USA that aim to improve gut flora. Restore comes in liquid form and is full of essential trace amino acids and a proprietary lignite extract. Lignite is one of its main ingredients and comes from the decomposition of prehistoric matter making it very rich in carbon.

Biomic Sciences is the developer behind the line and they put Restore through extensive testing to ensure the quality and safety of their products. A gold standard test has shown that Restore is non-toxic to kidney cells even at high doses and clinical, as well as, laboratory research has shown Restore supports a healthy, functioning gut barrier. 3 Ingredient Donuts, No Egg and No Milk #FridayFrivolity

Tomorrow is National Doughnut Day in the US and the girls of Friday Frivolity want to celebrate! Donuts are delicious. I can easily eat 5-6 in one sitting and while I generally gravitate toward the chocolate varieties I wanted to challenge myself to make donuts a little healthier. That is how these three ingredient donuts came to be. This recipe is eggless and dairy free making it great for littles with allergies. Egg allergies are huge in babies and toddlers but this is a wonderful alternative to a traditional donut recipe. It’s also incredibly simple because box cake mix is the base. No fuss, no muss.

Query Swap Twitter event
Coming June 1, 2017
Your hook is your selling point. It has to be perfect. But getting good feedback can often be difficult or expensive. That’s why M.L. Keller—The Manuscript Shredder—is organizing the #QuerySwap Twitter party, an all-day event for people seeking critique partners to participate in feedback exchanges on query letters or back cover blurbs. The query swap Twitter party is designed to help writers connect with other writers. And since this is an exchange, both parties will benefit.
Query Swap is happening from 8am-8pm EST on June 1, 2017.
Query Swap isn’t a contest. It’s an opportunity for writers to help other writers. There won’t be mentors, or agents. This is for writers only. Each participant will have the opportunity to find a new critique partner and exchange feedback on queries. Everyone gets feedback. Everyone’s query improves. Everyone wins.

Monty the Maestro and His Marvellous Magical Orchestra Book Review

Music can be an indispensable way to boost your child’s creativity and brain power. Beyond getting music lessons, learning about different types of music and instruments can open up a child’s mind to the power of music. That’s just what a new book series, Monty the Maestro, aims to do. The author Gabrielle Amelia Ridgeon offered me a chance at reading the book in exchange for this review.

Our New Favorite On-The-Go Snack is Go & Grow by Similac

This post was developed in partnership with Similac. All opinions are my own.

Modern day mamas know just how lucky we are to have tons of awesome inventions our mothers never had. Food pouches are one of these glorious motherhood aids. Go & Grow by Similac pouches are our new favorite on the go snacks that keep Viviana satisfied while we shop. I received this product for free from SheSpeaks.

Go & Grow pouches are a new line from Similac that incorporate 3-4 servings of fruits and veggies in each pouch. That’s 1/3 of what toddlers are recommended to have in a day. They are non-GMO, USDA certified organic and gluten free. Go & Grow by Similac have no fillers or artificial flavors or preservatives. These pouches can currently be found at Walmart in the baby aisle.

One of the highlights of Go & Grow by Similac is OptiGro. OptiGro is Similac’s special blend of brain and eye nourishing DHA, lutein and vitamin E. Each pouch contains 32mg of DHA which is an incredible way to support your toddler’s brain growth.

Go & Grow by Similac comes in two age groups: babies 6+ months and toddlers. One pouch is an appropriate daily serving for babies aged six months and up. Toddlers can have one to three a day. Some of the baby blends include mango/pear/spinach and pumpkin/banana/carrot to name a few. Some of the toddler flavors include sweet potato/mango/pear and butternut squash/pumpkin/banana/spinach/broccoli. There are many flavor blends available and you can find them all at your local Walmart.

Viviana tried all the blends that didn’t include carrot because she has an allergy to it and loved every single one. I like to have Go & Grow pouches on hand for shopping trips. Viviana enjoys eating them while in the carts and it helps keep her full in between meals.

As a mom it’s comforting to know that I’m helping support her development by giving her Go & Grow by Similac. It’s not always easy getting toddlers to eat all their fruits and veggies but this a yummy way to supplement their diet.

SheSpeaks is hosting a #Go&GrowatWalmart Giveaway. You can win a $50 gift card to Walmart.

Don’t miss out on this rebate from Ibotta to get $.50 back on one Go & Grow by Similac pouch.

Have your children tried Go & Grow by Similac? What flavors are their favorites?
